Wolfram Statistics Course Assistant App Reviews

This is a great tool for learning the very basics of statistics but no value for the price of the App. Much of what they have is basic info you can get for free using Google! Will not do custom probabilities, permutations, and many other things that you will need for Statistics 101 or Stats for Business so buyer beware!

This is one of the best statistic apps I found for college statistics. Its perfect!

This app doesnt present any dynamic functions of the topics shown on the example screen. Very limited and useless for the advanced statistics student. I expect a much better tool from Wolfram. This is a waste of money.

Did not include any deviation from or higher function of stat II I would expect. Avoid like the bubonic plague!

Horrible. Not helpful at all.

This app computes several basic statistics for selected distributions such as the normal and binomial. Basic descriptive statistics are also computed for arbitrary data sets input by the user. Bar charts, histograms, and scatterplots are produced and displayed. The apps best feature is the calculation of probabilities for several distributions. The limitations are serious but not disabling. Graphing and descriptive statistics are limited by the fact that data entry is strictly manual, one data point at a time. This means that only small data sets are practical to use. The worst limitation is that there is no means to save or print the results. So a student using the app for homework must copy the output by hand. This is not an issue for numerical output such as a mean or a probability, but it is a big issue for the plots. The best feature of the app and the main reason I would recommend the app to my statistics students is the probability calculations, which allow the student to avoid using tables.

I expected a much more interactive experience. Most of the distributions included only have formulas for mean, standard deviation, etc. which I could have easily looked up on my own. Not worth the purchase in my opinion

Well what is the probability of disappointment of this app.. 100% with a complement of zero % chance of successful satisfied customers.

I would like my $ back. This app does not run.

This app BARELY skims the surface of a statistics course. That and the keyboard for inputting data is a pain.
